Home renovations in South Melbourne
A South Melbourne terrace usually has good bones and a bad back half. Somewhere along the way a lean-to became the kitchen, the bathroom ended up off the laundry, and the whole house turned away from its own yard. Renovating is mostly a matter of undoing that.
What we take on
- Whole-house renovations, staged so you can stay in part of the house where that works
- Kitchens - including moving the kitchen to where it should have been
- Bathrooms and ensuites, waterproofed and certified properly
- Laundries, often the last room anyone thinks about and the one used daily
What we check before quoting
Old inner-city houses hide things. Stumps that have moved. Wiring that predates the RCD. A floor that has been levelled twice with packing rather than fixed once. On any house of this age we want a proper look under and behind before we put a number on it - a quote built on guesses turns into variations later, and nobody enjoys that conversation.
How pricing works
An indicative range after the first visit, a written scope once the direction is settled, then a fixed-price Master Builders Victoria contract. Variations only where you ask for a change or something genuinely unforeseen turns up, and always in writing before the work happens.
